Follow-Up Testing

Follow-Up Drug Testing in San Diego County

After an employee completes the return-to-duty process, they enter a follow-up testing program as directed by the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). On Point Drug Testing provides the ongoing follow-up specimen collections at your San Diego County workplace.

Ongoing Compliance After Return-to-Duty

Follow-up testing is a critical component of the DOT return-to-duty process. The SAP determines the frequency and duration of follow-up testing — a minimum of 6 directly observed tests in the first 12 months, with the program potentially lasting up to 60 months. These tests are unannounced and must be completed on the schedule set by the SAP.

On Point Drug Testing works with your TPA to manage follow-up testing schedules for employees in San Diego County. When a follow-up test is due, we come to your workplace and collect the specimen without disrupting operations. Our collector is DOT-certified and handles all required documentation.
